Genova Design Week 2025

Matter as a creative and narrative fulcrum was the theme of the Genova Design Week 2025, which explored the deep connection between materials, forms, and innovation. A journey through tradition and modernity, it highlighted the essential role of matter in contemporary design.

Genoa, with its timeless charm, was transformed into a stage where history and avant-garde meet, paying tribute to design as a universal language capable of giving soul to matter. Carla Palù and Beatrice Villata, architects and interior designers, created an installation composed of distinct moments, each focusing on different themes, all connected by the central question: "what design can do" to foster better interaction between humans and space—and, above all, between people themselves.

The permeability between interior and exterior space, the interaction through touch as well as sight, and the use of reclaimed materials were among the key themes developed and placed at the heart of this installation.
