Torre Solaria

Milan, 2024
Project: arch. Marco Francesco Bianchi & arch. Giulia Bonzanni – MFBarch Milano

In the heart of Porta Nuova, Torre Solaria shapes Milan’s skyline, rising 143 meters above the city. A contemporary residential landmark where the building’s verticality meets a new dimension of living, suspended between the city and the sky.

Inside one of the apartments, expansive floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic views of Milan, while exquisite materials, rich tones, and carefully curated details define interiors of understated sophistication. Marble takes center stage in the bathrooms, its natural veining flowing across floors, walls, and bespoke furnishings to create a cohesive material palette. The contrast between the solidity of stone and the lightness of glass establishes a harmonious balance between timeless elegance and contemporary precision.

SHOWER
SPACES

In the shower areas, the continuity of the marble cladding is the guiding principle of the design. The same material extends from the floor to the walls and continues seamlessly into the shower enclosure, preserving the visual coherence of the space. The RARE shower system integrates effortlessly into this composition, enhancing the natural pattern of the stone while minimizing the presence of technical elements. The linear drain blends discreetly into the marble cladding, while transparent glass panels define the shower area without compromising the sense of depth. The result is a space where technology serves the architecture, allowing marble to retain its leading role.
